This Way

Using strong, confident contour lines complemented by wild, yet intentional brushstrokes, these works begin by creating a variety of textures. With wild abandon and succinct imagery, I sought to convey an intimate and personal narrative anchored in lived experiences and layered with emotional resonance. Clarity was prioritized within each composition accentuating the mark-making process and highlighting common motifs. This series was originally intended for a solo show titled “This Way”, but a home studio fire destroyed or severely damaged all but two of the works now in private collections.
